I've now decided to always post from Flickr, as it would seem photos uploaded directly to this blog come up looking like arse. I'm just saying.
But here's another one for now. This is a church in Paignton, Devon where my aunt lives. The soil all around here is that same burnt red, so all the old walls and buildings were all made with really red bricks - so cool!
Hello!

I have been in the UK for a week now, on my way to France in another week. Have had a simply lovely time getting over jet lag, gardening and having tea with my nan, visiting family and generally soaking in the atmosphere of the diverse east London suburbs. Desperately trying not to let it soak in too far, lest I come out with a can of Foster's, four kids and a thick streak of racism.
I've since escaped to Devon for a couple days, and will soon be on my way up to breathtaking Wiltshire to visit my little cousin Kyrie.
I have little to report of huge interest to most, but here are a few captured moments from my recent days.

This is Rainham, very close to where my nan lives, taken from the top deck of the 365 bus to Romford.

This is my nan taking the rare and usually brief opportunity of sunshine to work in the front garden

The Pre Sans Kate Adventure....

Well, we had a little soirée on Saturday, Natalia, Kate and I. We toasted each other and our adventures with some bubbly! Kate instructed us that the theme of our evening was such that we were not allowed to buy anything new for the night... we were to bring what we had in our cupboards and fridge already and collaborate to make some delightful appy's. They pretty much stuck to the plan. I however, did not. Well... I think I stuck to the plan... I didn't buy the magnum of bubbly for us to consume that evening per say, I have been needing a champagne stopper for quite some time, and I just happened to find one... that was attached to a rather large bottle of cold champagne!

Anyways... we showered Kate with gifts. And she cried. As expected, really! And no, she was not le wasted at this point (see Katie, it was duly noted!).

Natalia is on her way tomorrow... and I shall be hot on her heels come April 6th!

Tidbits of information useful to all following this blog:

For all to see.. this is our fabulous little abode à Paris: http://www.parisianhome.com/en/apartment/apartment.php?pk=S03216

Natalia and I will both be posting to this blog over the course of our journey. We will upload photos (and maybe even video if we can bloody well figure it out) and cleverly written little stories of what ever antics we get up to... assuming we are sober enough to operate our laptops - oh wait! We use Macs which pretty much run themselves they are so cleverly designed... so yea, there will be posting galore going on!

Luvies!
